12.5.2025 – KIC Motorsport drivers collect lots of valuable experience from the opening round in German Hockenheimring
First two rounds of Formula Regional by Alpine Racing series was driven in traditional German circuit of Hockenheim. All three KIC Motorsport drivers made their debut in very intense weekend. Despite good effort, they weren’t able to collect points as in qualifying results were not what the team had aimed for.
In Saturdays first 30 minute race Australian Costa Toparis, thai Nandhavud Bhirombhakdi and vietnamise Nandhavud Bhirombhakdi finished the event in positions 25 to 28 and in Sundays race only Bhirombhakdi saw chequerred flag. Costa Toparis and Hoang Dat Sawer encountered collisions with fellow competitors and therefore they were forced to retire the event. Still all three drivers collect lots of valuable racing experience from highly competitive racing series.
After the rounds the series is led by brasilian Rafael Camarra, joka won the first event and was second in Sundays race. Therefore he has build 18 points gap as there are still 18 rounds to be driven. Next two races will be driven in final weekend of May at legendary Belgium circuit of SPA-Francorchamps.
